Jamie+Uncle Michael- The Attic

No where else to run, the little girl crawled into the coffin and laid her precious little head down, ready to accept death. The masked man slowly walked over to the coffin and stood directly over his niece, raising his knife high into the air. Just as he was about to bring it down upon little Jamie, she cried out, "Uncle!"

Michael jumped. He had not expected his niece to shout THAT out, of all things. His knife was still raised up high, and he thought, "Kill her now. Kill her and it'll all be over. I'll be free from this curse at last." But he couldn't bring himself to murder Jamie, and Michael slowly lowered his knife to the ground.

"Boogeyman..." said Jamie slowly. Her uncle lowered his knife all the way and looked down at her. Tentatively, she put two fingers over her face and said, "Let me see?"

Michael raised his hands to his face and paused. Jamie slowly slid her fingers down her face and looked at her uncle. Michael grasped the edges of his mask and pulled it off slowly. His niece, wanting to see her uncle's face in the light, slowly sat up and stared at Michael full in the face.

His face was severely burned and scarred, from years of hunting down and killing family members. Jamie looked her uncle in the eye and said, 'You're just like me."

For precious seconds, the two just stared at each other. Then Jamie saw a tear go down her uncle's face. "Let me?" she said to him, and hesitantly reached out to wipe it off his face. Michael flew back at her sudden touch, and put his mask back on. Jamie screamed as the coffin fell over in her hast to get out. She raced down the stairs as fast as her legs could carry her, as Michael stabbed the coffin over and over and flung it across the room in his rage.
